Remove a folder from the Favorite Folders pane

In the Mail pane, right-click the folder you want to remove, and then on the shortcut menu, click Remove from Favorite Folders.

Notes

When you remove a folder from Favorite Folders, the folder stops displaying in the list. If you want to move the folder and its contents to the Deleted Items folder, and delete the folder from both the Folder List and the Favorite Folders pane, right-click the folder, and then click Delete folder name on the shortcut menu.
If you delete a Search Folder, such as Unread Mail or For Follow Up, from Favorite Folders, you must manually recreate it.
Favorite Folders is available only in the Mail pane. The Favorite Folders pane cannot be removed, hidden, or resized. It is not possible to display Favorite Folders in other panes, such as Folder List.
